He doesn’t have a sad backstory or a backstory at all, he’s just always been Dimentio. When the universe was born, so too, was he. Not as a child or even a person for that matter, as the bringer of chaos.
For millions of years he’s been waiting for the perfect opportunity, and the moment some heartbroken blue guy shows up muttering something about the universe being better off if it didn’t exist, Dimentio is on it, encouraging Blumiere to follow through with his rash solution to a broken heart.
