We are saddened to hear that Isao Takahata, Studio Ghibli’s co-founder, animator and director unfortunately passed away on April 5th at 82 years old. He was best known for directing iconic Studio Ghibli films such as Grave of the Fireflies, Only Yesterday, Pom Poko, and My Neighbors the Yamadas, & his last film, The Tale of the Princess Kaguya, was nominated for an Academy award.
