Hey, quick follow up to this post, but this information is completely outdated.

Here’s what my network usage for a 720p Rapidvideo stream (30s) looks like in Chrome right now:

Only 115 requests, and no background processes running besides the video stream itself.

Here’s what it looks like in Firefox:

Only 54 requests, and again the only persisting process is the video itself.

The above post was most likely made during the time where kissanime was getting attacked by knockoff websites. As a reminder, kissanime is now at kissanime.ru. Any other domain is a red flag– that’s a knockoff website that is, as the post claims above, attempting to use your computer for nefarious deeds while you watch videos. 

Kissanime.ru is safe to use, as of December 2017. Just don’t go to knockoff sites and always, ALWAYS be cautious. Thank you.
